Manuel “Memo” Rubio, Jr., 64, of W. Alvarado Street, passed away July 12, 2020. Manuel was born on April 30, 1956, in Carlsbad, to Manuel and Maria Rubio, Sr. He never hesitated to help those in need and did everything with the biggest smile. He loved sending time with his children and grandchildren. Manuel enjoyed music, dancing, cheering for the Dallas Cowboys, collecting and admiring classic cars and boxing. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents: Pablo and Eliana Rubio, Cornado and Domingo Molinar.
Survivors are his children: Chris Rubio, Jeanette Valles (Victor), Jessica Rubio, Gabe Rubio (Elizabeth), Brianna Delgado; 7 grandchildren: Alyssa, Imari, Iyan, Jayden, Arabella, Juliana, and Elijah; sisters: Ycela R. Sosa (Estanislado), Belinda M. Rubio; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Condolences may be expressed at dentonwood.com
