Luther “Luke” Everett Meadors, Jr., 71, passed away September 3, 2020. He was born July 9,
1949 in Carlsbad Luke E. and Anna L. (Hice) Meadors. Luke married Denise (Temple) July 27,
1971, his best friend and love of his life. Luke graduated from Carlsbad High School in 1967. He
treasured the moonlight rides with this wife and close friends, telling stories and laughing until
the sun came up. Luke worked at WIPP, retiring after 29 years. He was a member of the Dirt
Dobbers Car Club, Carlsbad Automotive Restoration Society (CARS), B.P.O.E. #1558, and
Carlsbad First Baptist Church. Survivors are his wife, Denise Meadors; his mother; children:
Lucinda Andreasen (Russell), Rocky L. Meadors (Julie); grandchildren: Ashlyn and Jakob
Andreasen, Ross and Jalie Meadors; sister, Cathy Harrison (Gary). He was preceded in death by
his father; brother Roscoe “Rocky” V. Meadors; grandparents Roscoe and Mamie Meadors, and
Virgil and Edith Hice.
