Jerred A. Szary, 30, past resident of Carlsbad, passed away December 17, 2020 in Cincinnati, OH.
Cremation has taken place and private graveside services will be held Friday, February 5, 2021 at
Carlsbad Cemetery.
Jerred was born in Carlsbad, NM on June 9, 1990 to Michael Orosco and Jennifer Gonzales. He moved to
Ohio, with his siblings, in 2001. He later graduated from Oak Hills High School in 2009 and was looking
forward to graduating with his apprenticeship in January 2021.
At an early age, Jerred took on a lot of responsibility and would do whatever he could to help someone
in need. This later paid off when he started his own family. Jerred met Melissa Davis in 2011 and they
had two children, Hudson and Addison. Hudson was Jerred’s best friend and Addie is a splitting image of
her dad and acts just like him.
Jerred was someone special. He worked hard to provide for his family. He was proud of his
achievements, yet he never forgot where he came from. Fearless and crazy are words that often
describe Jerred. Despite all odds, he always wore a smile and had an infectious laugh that we will never
forget and miss dearly.
Jerred was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Pete and Margarita “Margie” Gonzales.
Jerred is survived by the mother of his children, Melissa Davis; sons, Milo and Hudson; daughter,
Addison; brothers, Michael Sosa and John Szary; sisters, Mikka and Monni Szary; adopted mother, Shari
Newman; grandparents, Manuel and Paz Orosco; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and
cousins.
