Anna Sue Stone, 84, of Parker Street, Carlsbad, NM, passed away February 3, 2021 at her home.
Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date.
Anna Sue Stone was born February 2, 1937 in Devonia, Tennessee to Jack and Bertie
(Tankersley) Knox. She married James H. Stone June 27, 1955 in Winimaca, Nevada. They
moved to Carlsbad in 1965. After raising her kids, Sue took up golf and she and Jim played golf
daily at 5:00 AM, before the sun came up. She loved spending time with her granddaughters.
The family would like to thank Victoria Doporto for the wonderful care she gave Jim and Sue.
Survivors are her son, James L. Stone and wife, Diane of Cushing, OK; daughter, Nancy Rogers
and Ernie Carlson of Carlsbad, NM; grandchildren: Dr. Jacqueline Blanchette and husband,
Jerome of Bremerton, WA, Cortney Jennings, RDH and husband, Adam of Midland, TX; great-
grandson, Luc Stone Blanchette.
